The health system says initially, the new star ratings will cover about 450 facilities throughout its system but will eventually include all 600 locations.
IU Health says the effort is the next step in amplifying its online presence, providing teams with more direct access to patient feedback and give patients easy online access to learn about the facilities and physicians in the network.
Ratings are compiled from patient surveys of IU Health services. The hospital reports last year 425,000 patient surveys were completed.
Star ratings use 24 rolling months of survey data and include an average of all responses to the ‘Likelihood to Recommend’ question on the patient experience survey.
