The company currently occupies a 45,000-square-foot facility on the west side of Logansport. The Cass-Logansport Economic Development Organization says the expansion project will include real estate, improvements, and new equipment.
Foppers is currently seeking $125,000 in incentives from the Logansport City Council, which is expected to vote on the proposal next month. Mayor Dave Kitchell’s office says if the incentives are approved, the company will use them toward improvements to a warehouse that previously served as the PCI manufacturing plan.
"It’s good to see this project moving forward for the company and Clark Leffert and his family," Kitchell said in a news release. "This is an example of a homegrown company that has found its niche in an economic sector and is experiencing sustained growth. We’re glad they can repurpose one of our existing buildings for re-use as a very promising business venture."
The CLEDO says Foppers currently has 16 full-time employees and the project would add 10 new jobs with an average wage of $34,000 per year.
