Cremers is a professor of finance at Notre Dame and was selected after a six-month national search. He joined the Notre Dame faculty in 2012 after teaching in the Yale University School of Management for 10 years.
"Martijn is a distinguished scholar with a deep understanding of and commitment to Notre Dame’s distinctive mission," Jenkins said. "He will further the Mendoza College of Business’ work of making important contributions to research, training capable graduates who will be ethical leaders and encouraging us all to ask more of business."
Cremers will begin his new position on a permanent basis in July.
