The more than 82,000-square-foot plant for OSR Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of fasteners for the automotive industry, is expected to create 12 jobs this year.
OSR is a subsidiary of Japan-based Owari Precise Products Co. Ltd. The plant, to be located at the Woodside Northwest Industrial Park, will be the company’s first stand-alone facility in the U.S. and include new manufacturing, quality and logistics equipment.
The Greater Columbus Indiana Economic Development Corp. says the project will also retain 29 jobs. The new jobs will have an expected average wage of more than $20 per hour.
Columbus Mayor Jim Lienhoop will join OSR President Makoto Inagaki for the groundbreaking ceremony.
