Ball State Tops College Magazine Accessibility List

Ball State University ranks first for its efforts to make the campus accessible to all.
The university was praised on its accessible housing, wheelchair sports and attendant care. According to the university’s website, more than 600 students use the services offered by the Office of Disabled Student Development, and more than 40 are wheelchair users.
Ball State was also recognized on the list for advocating for awareness about disabilities to its student body with opportunities like the student-led Alliance for Disability Awareness, events celebrating Disability Awareness Month and hosting speakers such as Marlee Matlin and Mark Zupan.
Other recognized institutions included University of California Berkley, Wright State University and University of Florida.
