AWS Foundation Announces $1M in Grants

The foundation strives to recognize and support groups that benefit individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities in northeast Indiana.
The grant winners are listed below:
Achieva Resources: $45,000 for educational outreach initiatives.
Adams Wells Special Services: $18,000 for summer training for educators.
Camp PossAbility: $20,000 for camper scholarships.
Camp Red Cedar: $100,000 for camp scholarships and operating support.
Community Transportation Network: $250,000 for operating support.
Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Indiana: $10,000 for the 2019 Educational Conference.
Fort Wayne Ballet: $15,000 for sensory-friendly performances of Cinderella & Nutcracker.
Healthier Moms & Babies: $35,000 for prenatal home visits.
Indiana Legal Services: $70,000 for legal services for individuals with disabilities & consultant services.
Indiana University: $120,000 over three years for Family Employment Awareness Training (FEAT).
Kosciusko Community YMCA: $15,000 for Summer Opportunity for Adaptive Recreation (SOAR) Camp.
Lutheran Social Services of Indiana: $35,000 for LSSI Works.
Mustard Seed Furniture Bank: $75,000 over three years for home furnishings program.
Purdue Fort Wayne: $40,000 for Bridges program.
University of Saint Francis: $150,000 over three years for Jesters.
Wellspring Interfaith Services: $10,000 for Older Adult Program.
