Officials say the move will allow more opportunities for MAT students, including clinical experiences with professional sports.
Manchester already established its Ft. Wayne campus as its hub of graduate-level health science programs, doctoral program in pharmacy and the pharmacogenomics master’s program.
“We are looking forward to having our graduate and professional health professions programs under the same roof, and to taking advantage of the opportunities for interprofessional development for students and faculty alike,” said dean for Natural and Health Sciences Mark Huntington.
Beginning in 2022, anyone seeking to become a certified athletic trainer must have a master’s degree from an accredited athletic training program before taking the certification exam.
