California-based Lime has received approval to operate in the St. Joseph County city. Around 250 scooters will be available.
The two-wheeled transportation options are not permitted on the campuses of the University of Notre Dame, Holy Cross College or St. Mary’s College. Lime-S model scooters will cost $1 to unlock and $0.15 per minute of riding. Each night, locally-based team members will collect the scooters where they’ve been parked, charge them and redistribute them throughout the city.
