Indianapolis-based Rehab Medical Inc. has acquired a medical equipment business in Oklahoma. Financial terms of the deal for Family Medical Supply are not being disclosed, however Rehab Medical says it will retain the company’s 21 employees.

The acquisition expands Rehab Medical’s footprint to 14 states. The company says the deal allows it to provide its services to a previously untapped market.

"Rehab Medical is excited to expand into the state of Oklahoma," said Kevin Gearheart, president of Rehab Medical. "Family Medical Supply is a well respected business in Oklahoma that shares a number of our same values with a strong emphasis on improving the lives of those we serve."

Family Medical Supply is a more than 30-year-old company with locations in Oklahoma City and Kingston. Gearheart says the goal is to bring the resources and expertise of Rehab Medical to expand on what Family Medical Supply has built.
