The company says it will use the investment to "aggressively accelerate" the development of its fundraising platform and continue the expansion of sales and marketing efforts.
OneCause says the investment will also help the company incorporate its acquisition of Texas-based Great Feats, which occurred earlier this year. The funding round was led by Chicago-based MK Capital with additional investment from Allos Ventures in Indianapolis and WinTrust Ventures in Illinois.
"There has been explosive growth in the nonprofit software industry and an increasing demand for year-round fundraising solutions that help nonprofits expand their reach beyond the ballroom,” said Kirk Wolfe, general partner with MK Capital. “We’re excited to continue supporting OneCause as they evolve mobile giving to meet the needs of future donors and fundraisers.”
OneCause Chief Executive Officer Steve Johns says 2018 has been a year of record growth for the company. He says software subscriptions have increased nearly 40 percent over the last year and the new investment will continue that momentum.
Previously known as BidPal, OneCause underwent a rebranding effort at the beginning of the year.
