Recipients have a global presence and were selected for their commitment to "the transformative power that architecture, art, and design have to improve people’s lives and make cities stronger." Organizers call the Miller Prize the centerpiece of the second-year event.
This year’s winners are slated to appear September 29 at the event’s National Symposium and will present design concepts — and eventually install them — in the Bartholomew County city beginning in mid-January. The works will be on display in downtown Columbus August 24 of next year.
This year’s recipients of the architecture, art, design and community award are:
- Agency Landscape + Planning of Massachusetts
- Bryony Roberts Studio of New York
- Frida Escobedo Studio of Mexico
- MASS Design Group of Massachusetts and Rwanda
- SO-IL of New York
