Evansville Med Center to Receive New Name

Subscribe NowThe title sponsor and new name for the multi-million dollar, multi-institutional medical campus in downtown Evansville will be unveiled Friday. The Evansville Center for Health Sciences, as it’s currently called, is a collaboration among Indiana University, the University of Evansville and University of Southern Indiana. The announcement will be led by UE President Tom Kazee and will include details about a donor and key gift.
The high-profile facility is previously known as the Multi-Institutional Academic Health Science & Research Center. About six months ago, officials marked the topping out of the $70 million project. Plans call for classes to begin at the four-story, 140,570 square-foot facility in the fall. Construction kicked off in 2015.
