Japan-Indiana Relationship Focus of Forum

The forum, organized by Purdue, the Consulate of Japan in Chicago and the Japan-America Society of Indiana, will include panel discussions and networking opportunities. Nearly 300 Japanese companies have a presence in Indiana, supporting more than 58,000 jobs. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says the Asian nation is considered the state’s largest international economic investor.
The schedule includes opening remarks by Purdue President Mitch Daniels, Consul-General of Japan in Chicago Naoki Ito, Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger and U.S. Office of Japanese Affair Director Julie Chung.
