The plans involve 1,000 new jobs, on top of the company’s previous commitment of 2,000 jobs as part of its downtown technology and innovation hub. Vice President Mike Pence will join Governor Eric Holcomb and others for the official announcement Thursday in Indianapolis.
Pence had previously been scheduled to speak at an America First Policies event in Carmel.
The India-based technology services and consulting giant last year chose central Indiana for one of four new technology and innovation hubs in the United States, saying it would create up to 10,000 jobs nationwide, including 2,000 in Indiana by the end of 2021. The state has pitched the company on creating a central campus in Indianapolis.
In March, Infosys cut the ribbon on its tech and innovation hub, covering about 35,000 square feet inside the OneAmerica Tower. The company has also announced hubs in Connecticut, North Carolina and Rhode Island.
