Infosys Cuts Ribbon on Tech Hub

Subscribe NowGovernor Eric Holcomb and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett have joined officials from India-based Infosys (NYSE: INFY) to cut the ribbon on the company’s tech and innovation hub in downtown Indianapolis. The event comes nearly a year after the tech giant announced plans to locate in the city.
Infosys is investing nearly $9 million into the Indy effort, which includes plans to create up to 2,000 jobs by the end of 2021. The new space covers about 35,000 square feet inside the OneAmerica Tower.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says the tech hub will focus on cutting-edge technology such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, user experience, emerging digital technologies, cloud and big data within the financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, energy industries, among others.
The hub is one of four in the U.S. for Infosys, two of which are located in North Carolina and Rhode Island, which will include approximately 500 new jobs over the next few years.
