Lewis Wagner Adds to Firm, Names Partners

Subscribe NowLewis Wagner has added Tyler Marie Alford to its litigation practice group where she will concentrate her practice in general civil litigation matters; including premises liability, product liability, and construction matters. She previously served as a deputy prosecuting attorney for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. Alford is admitted to practice in Indiana and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
The firm has named Michael Lewinski (pictured) partner. He has more than 30 years of commercial and real estate litigation experience. Lewinski began his legal career with Ice Miller LLP, first as an associate and then as a partner. In 2017, he took early retirement from Ice Miller, LLP and began teaching at Butler University in the Lacy School of Business. Lewinski authored the chapter on eminent domain which is included in the "Indiana Elected Municipal Officials Handbook" published by the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns and is a co-author of the chapter of Indiana law on eminent domain for the ABA. He is a member of the Indiana State Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association.
Aaron Grant has been elected partner. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business litigation and regulatory compliance, with a particular emphasis on contract disputes, restrictive covenant litigation, and representing agribusiness clients. Grant earned his Bachelor of Arts in American history from DePauw University. He received his juris doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.
Derek Raymond has joined the firm. He concentrates his practice in business and real estate litigation, representing individuals and businesses before state and federal court. He also represents the Indiana Department of Insurance, Patient’s Compensation Fund, in tort and coverage cases. Raymond previously served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Thomas J. Felts in the Allen Circuit Court. Raymond also served as Judge Pro Tempore hearing a variety of civil and family law cases, ruling on evidentiary disputes during hearings, and drafting final orders. He also served as a Family Law Arbitrator hearing dissolution, custody, parenting time, and support cases.
Lynsey David has been selected to the Indiana State Bar Association’s Leadership Development Academy Class VII. The Academy is a statewide leadership program established to empower and develop lawyers to be informed, committed and involved so that they may fill significant leadership roles in local and state bar associations, local communities and organizations and to serve as role models in matters of ethics and professionalism. David is an associate in the firm’s litigation group. She earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she served as the Trial Advocacy Board President and competed in national and regional trial competitions across the nation. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, David worked as a summer associate for Lewis Wagner, the Marshall and Fayette County District Courts, and the Kentucky Bar Association.
Meghan Ruesch (pictured) has been selected to the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana OPTIONS Class 2018. OPTIONS is a year-long program with monthly educational classroom sessions and site visits women and girl serving organizations in central Indiana to teach community needs and personal and group philanthropy. Ruesch is chair of the firm’s Community Organizations Committee. She also volunteers for CASA of East Central Indiana. As a member of the firm’s litigation group, she primarily focuses on insurance coverage and reinsurance issues.
Also, John Trimble has been elected as a Fellow in the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel. This national organization is comprised of more than 300 experienced and recognized lawyers involved in coverage and extracontractual matters, with Fellows representing both policyholders and insurers and honorary members, primarily from academia. The College is focused on the creative, ethical and efficient adjudication of insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, peer-provided scholarship, professional coordination and the improvement of the relationship between and among their diverse members.
