Work to Begin on Chesterton Fiber Optic Network

NITCO says the Chesterton Fiber Optic Network will boost schools and spark economic development opportunities in the Porter County town.
The groundbreaking ceremony begins at 4:00 this afternoon. It will include NITCO President Tom Long and Senior Vice President Tom Carroll, Chesterton Council President Lloyd Kittredge, Chesterton Town Council member Jim Ton and Chesterton Regional Development Commission Chairman Jeff Trout, among others.
Earlier this month, NITCO acquired TV Cable of Rensselaer and Morocco. At the time, the company said customers in those counties would continue to receive service under the NITCO brand.
