Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, however NITCO says residential and business customers in southern Jasper and Newton counties will continue to receive service under the NITCO brand.
TV Cable was founded in 1966 and President Steve Filson released the following statement regarding the acquisition: "For over 50 years our family has served the community well, first with cable TV and then with the onset of the internet. Today we hand the keys to NITCO with the knowledge that family owned companies like ours and like NITCO, believe in quality service and active participation in the community."
NITCO did not specify whether any jobs would be negatively affected by the deal. The company says it will continue the efforts started by TV cable to grow the communities it serves.
