Subaru to Unveil Ascent in Lafayette

The Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. facility in Lafayette also produces Toyotas.

State and local officials will Friday join executives from Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. in Lafayette to unveil the next vehicle to be produced at the facility, the Ascent SUV. Governor Eric Holcomb’s office says the event will also feature an economic development announcement.

The automaker debuted the Ascent earlier this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The SUV is the fourth vehicle to be manufactured at SIA, which also produces the Outback, Legacy, and Impreza models. 

Holcomb will be in attendance for the unveiling along with Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski. Inside INdiana Business will be on hand for the event and will have more in Friday afternoon’s INside Edge e-newsletter.
