CareSource Indy Call Center to Begin Operations

As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowOhio-based CareSource will Monday open its new call center on the northwest side of Indianapolis. The nonprofit insurance and health care management organization says the new location will create more than 150 jobs.
Plans for the call center were announced shortly after CareSource, along with Managed Health Services in Indianapolis, informed the state they were planning to provide coverage on federal marketplace in Decatur, Jackson, Grant and Wayne counties starting next year.
Earlier this month on Inside INdiana Business Television, CareSource Executive Director Steve Smitherman said the expansion is the result of a "tremendous growth" in membership over the past several months, in addition to expected membership growth as the organization begins its Obamacare coverage in Indiana.
