The college says the money raised from the auction will go toward work to bring the school out of its current financial situation.
Saint Joe has partnered with Michigan-based Hilco Fixture Finders and Georgia-based Eaton Hudson to put the list of items up for bid together. The college says the items "carry memories and connections of the times spent on and around campus."
The auction will be held in three rounds. The full schedule is as follows:
- ROUND ONE: Begins Friday 9/1 and ends Monday 9/11
- ROUND TWO: Begins Friday 9/8 and ends Monday 9/18
- ROUND THREE: Begins Friday 9/15 and ends Monday 9/25
Saint Joe began selling off assets on campus earlier this month. The college suspended campus activities earlier this year after what it called “significant financial challenges.”
The funds raised from the sale will benefit the Saint Joseph’s Phoenix Project, which was established with the goal of "re-engineering" the school so it can reopen.
