Indians to Upgrade Victory Field Suites

The playoff-bound Indianapolis Indians have unveiled $2 million plans to renovate the suites at Victory Field during the offseason. The team says the effort will "modernize and enhance the gameday experience" and is the first project of its kind since the stadium opened in 1996.

Work is expected to begin in mid-September or once the Indians’ run in the playoffs is complete. The team says the renovated suites will be ready for the 2018 season.

The project will include upgraded finishes, in-suite mobile charging stations, expanded serving space, and new furniture, among other amenities. The renovation will also see a refresh of Victory Field’s first floor lobby, suite-level lobbies, common areas and restrooms.

"Our suite holders have been important to this project," said Randy Lewandowski, president and general manager of the Indians. "Some of them have been with us since Victory Field opened in 1996, and we believe all of our suite level guests will be genuinely excited to see and experience these updates."

The project follows a $2.4 million effort to install a new video and sound system at Victory Field during the previous offseason.
