New Nonstop Announced at Indianapolis International

Subscribe NowLas Vegas-based Allegiant (Nasdaq: ALGT) has announced more nonstop service from Indianapolis International Airport. The seasonal route to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is set to begin November 17. Indianapolis International Airport now has service to 47 nonstop destinations, which Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez says is the highest number since the current terminal opened in 2008.
"This latest addition to the lineup further enhances our reach into the Western United States," he says. "Our airline partners are listening to our customers, they’re making the investments to deliver on new nonstop flights and that increases the value the Indy airport can provide to the immediate Indianapolis community and the state’s overall economic opportunity."
Over the last year, Allegiant has added nonstop service from IND to destinations including Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, Jacksonville International Airport, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport.
The Phoenix area flight is part of what the low-cost airline says is its largest-ever new service announcement. It includes a total of 28 flights and three new cities. Allegiant offers 12 nonstops from Indianapolis. IND officials say the record total of nonstop destinations it has served is 49, a mark achieved in 2005.
