St. Vincent has named Angela Blackwell director of internal communications. She has more than 25 years of experience. Blackwell started her public relations career in New York as an account executive with Saatchi & Saatchi Business Communications. She returned home to Indiana in 2015 to serve as vice president for McDougall Communications. Blackwell is a graduate of DePauw University.

Also, Gene Ford has been hired as manager of public relations. He has more than 16 years of experience in healthcare public relations and previously served as public relations consultant for Indiana University Health, where he handled media relations for the academic health system’s neuroscience, cardiovascular, transplant, trauma, orthopedics and sports medicine service lines. In his new role, Ford will handle media relations for St. Vincent’s hospitals and clinical locations throughout central Indiana, including Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Tennessee State University.
