St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital Inc. has announced the layoffs of 124 employees. In a notice to the state, the hospital says the last day for the employees will be May 31, however Indiana University Health, which will assume operation of the hospital on June 1, has agreed to make employment offers to workers in good standing.

IU Health entered into a preliminary agreement with Clinton County officials in October to take over operation of the hospital. The decision came after St. Vincent health decided not to renew its lease with the county.

The hospital says the affected employees have been notified of the layoffs.
