Indiana University will hold a dedication ceremony Friday for the new Paul H. O’Neill Graduate Center in Bloomington. The $12 million facility, which opened for classes in January, is the new home of the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs graduate programs.

The graduate center includes a new façade and plaza, lounges for students, faculty and staff as well as a 2,300 square-foot student commons. Located adjacent to SPEA’s current building on the Bloomington campus, it is named for the SPEA alumnus who donated $3 million toward the project.

IU announced earlier this month the second-floor study and meeting space will be known as the David and Cecile Wang Commons. Unlike traditional naming deals, which typically do not expire, the Wangs donated $1 million for a limited-time naming deal. The space will bear their name only for the next 10 years.
