Seminar Aims to Assist With Veteran Transition

Subscribe NowAn Indianapolis-based nonprofit is conducting a four-day seminar which aims to help military veterans in the transition to the civilian work force. Beginning Monday at the WorkOne Northeast career center in Fort Wayne, Operation: Job Ready Veterans will provide employment training and transition assistance.
Northeast Indiana Works says the seminar will cover topics such as identifying career interests, translating skills, developing successful strategies for navigating the job market, interview and resume preparation and networking. The program will end with a graduation ceremony.
The seminar is also available to eligible spouses of veterans, spouses of Indiana National Guard or Reserve members, current Guard or Reserve members and military caregivers. The sessions will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.
