Holcomb Leading Trade Mission to U.K.
Holcomb says the Regional Cities Initiative is part of his administration's agenda.

Subscribe NowIndiana Governor-elect Eric Holcomb will lead his first international economic development trade mission beginning later this week to the United Kingdom. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says the U.K. is Indiana’s largest European investor and second-largest global investor.
The IEDC says Holcomb will meet with government officials in London as well as potential investors in sectors including advanced manufacturing, technology, aerospace, agribusiness and life sciences. The delegation will also meet with companies that already operate in Indiana, including Rolls-Royce, whose chief executive officer visited Indianapolis earlier this year and invited Holcomb to visit the company’s U.K. headquarters. Indiana Secretary of Commerce Victor Smith will also make the trip.
The state says U.K. investment is a growth area for Indiana. It says, since 2009, U.K.-owned businesses have announced plans to invest more than $850 million to locate or expand in Indiana, pledging more than 1,260 new Hoosier jobs. More than 60 United Kingdom-based companies have facilities in Indiana, employing more than 31,800 workers.
The trip is scheduled for Saturday, December 3 through Wednesday, December 7.
