The Indy Airport tops the U.S. domestic airport category for the third year in a row, and three Indianapolis hotels are ranked among the top 10 in the Midwest.
The JW Marriott fares especially well in the rankings, coming in at number 25 in the world and fifth in the United States. It tops the Midwest list, with Conrad Indianapolis coming in third and The Alexander tenth.
Indianapolis Airport Authority Board President Kelly Flynn says earning the airport honor three years in a row "demonstrates a consistent culture, one that is not driven by gimmick or program, but by thoughtful decisions that put the traveler at the center of it all." The airport has also earned the 2016 Best Airport in North America Award from Airports Council International North America and the 2016 TripAdvisorTravelers’ Choice Favorite for U.S. Airports in the medium-size category.
This year’s awards were based on survey results from more than 300,000 readers, which is nearly twice as many as least year. You can see the full list of Readers’ Choice Award winners by clicking here.
