When complete, the tower will feature 124 apartments as well as 170,000 square feet of retail and office space, including a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.
The Skyline Tower is the residential portion of an overall development that includes the Ash Skyline Plaza, which was completed earlier this year, as well as the Skyline Garage, which opened in May.
"Skyline Tower is a tremendous addition to the heart of our City," said Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry. "I continue to be encouraged by the progress we’re seeing throughout Fort Wayne. We’re strengthening our position as a point of destination where individuals, families, and business want to invest. By working together, we’re attracting and retaining jobs as a community moving in the right direction."
The 12-story Skyline Tower project recently received $2.8 million in Regional Cities Initiative funding. The city says the retail and office spaces, along with the upper five floors of apartments are expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2018 with the remaining apartments being complete by mid-summer of 2018.
