Ivy Tech Community College President Sue Ellspermann will lead the fifth Innovative Conversation Wednesday at WestGate Academy Conferencing & Training Center. The event aims to address work force and educational issues in southwest Indiana.

The event will feature state legislators, representatives from Hoosier universities, employers, economic development agencies and administrators from school corporations throughout the region who will discuss how to build "a labor pool to close skill and attrition gaps faced by regional industry." 

The WestGate Academy says the Innovative Conversation will include an update and initiative announcement from the Brainpower Task Force, a subcommittee of the I-69 Consortium and a discussion on how to support legislators through business enterprises.

The event, being hosted by Loogootee-based Stimulus Engineering Services Inc., will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the WestGate Academy.
