Beginning October 7, the health system will be known as Goshen Health, and Randy Christophel tells Inside INdiana Business he expects the separation to be complete by the end of the year.
The health system says the name change won’t have any effect on the services it provides to the community. In a news release issued Wednesday, Christophel said the name change is being made to focus on the "mission of improving the health of our communities."
"We are excited about our name change," said Christophel. "For more than 100 years, the leaders of this community have been committed to ensuring innovative, outstanding care and services for the residents of Goshen and the surrounding communities. That will not change."
The health system says residents will begin seeing the name change in early October on signage, patient materials and in an advertising campaign.
