In his new role, Parod will be responsible for leading all aspects of patient care for the health system. St. Mary’s says Parod’s experience will position the health system "to be well prepared for the evolving needs of the community."
"Dan emerged as the clear choice for our search committee based on his expertise, track record, vision, and alignment with our culture," said Keith Jewell, president of St. Mary’s. "He is a thoughtful leader and a strategic thinker with a passion for people. Dan understands that creating an environment where leaders and associates want to work and physicians want to practice is foundational to consistently delivering positive outcomes and experiences for the people we are privileged to serve."
Parod’s appointment is not the first executive position to be filled this year. In March, St. Mary’s named Heidi Dunniway chief medical officer.
