Hoosier Schools Among ‘Best Colleges’

The publication ranks schools in categories including National Universities, Best Value Schools and Best Undergraduate Business Programs.
On the National Universities list, only three Indiana institutions ranked in the top 100. The University of Notre Dame is highest at 15, followed by Purdue University at 60 and Indiana University at 86.
Notre Dame also ranked 25 on the Best Value Schools list. The Fighting Irish tied with IU at number 9 on the Best Undergraduate Business Programs ranking, along with Cornell University, UNC-Chapel Hill and USC. Purdue is ranked 23 on that list as well.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology was ranked number 1 for the Best Engineering Program without a doctorate degree for the 18th consecutive year. Valparaiso University is part of a nine-way tie for 13th on that list. Purdue tied with Cornell for 9th on the Best Engineering Programs with a doctorate degree list.

"The U.S. News & World Report ranking once again affirms, from our higher education peers, that we’re living up to our core mission of providing the best STEM education in an environment of individual attention and support."
In the Midwest Regional Universities category, Butler University is ranked number 2, followed by Valparaiso at 4 and the University of Evansville at 8.
Taylor University is tied with Calvin College in Michigan for the top spot on the Midwest Regional Colleges list, followed by Goshen College at 5, Huntington University at 13, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College at 18, Manchester University at 21 and Trine University at 22.
