A subsidiary of Florida-based Manitowoc Foodservice Inc. plans to "reduce the manpower level" at its manufacturing facility in Sellersburg. In a notice to the state, the company says 84 employees of the Manitowoc Beverage Systems plant will be affected.

Manitowoc says the layoffs will begin on October 11 and will continue through January 31, 2017. The layoffs will be permanent, according to the company.

The company did not state a specific reason for the layoffs.
