The results were determined by a panel which judged three categories: University Track, Start-Up Track and Scale-Up Track.
Organizers say a record number of applicants, 136, were narrowed down to 21 competing and 80 exhibiting companies. Competitors were vying for a share of $115,000 in prizes.
The two-day event was itself a record-breaker. Nearly 1,000 entrepreneurs, investors and other attendees participated. Thursday, day two of the event, kicked off with an announcement from Governor Mike Pence that his administration was pushing for $1 billion in resources to be allocated toward efforts focusing on entrepreneurship and "next generation" jobs and discoveries.
