Ricker’s says the hiring is due in part to expanded food service offerings. The company is growing its menu to include new options including pizza, breadsticks, deli sandwiches and salads. Ricker’s says most of the new hires will be food service employees.
The hiring will take place over the next several months at more than half of the chain’s 56 locations. The company currently employs about 800.
Last month, Ricker’s announced it would offer free ATM cash withdrawals throughout the state. The company also detailed plans earlier this year to invest $150,000 in anti-skimming technology at all of its locations.
