Gorski has served in several leadership roles at CFNI, including chief operating officer. In that role, he oversaw strategic growth and development at Community Hospital in Munster, St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago and St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart.
"Despite the ever evolving landscape of healthcare, John’s leadership has helped us stay the course with our mission to make Community Healthcare System the best place for patients in our service area to receive medical care," said Frankie Fesko, chairman of the CFNI board of directors. "His many years of service and significant contributions helped Community Healthcare System achieve significant growth and nationally recognized excellence for patient care."
The CFNI board has promoted Donald Fesko, who currently serves as chief operating officer, to CEO, effective immediately. Fesko also serves as CEO of Community Hospital. He says he is honored to take up the position.
"I look forward to my expanded role and the opportunity to work with such a talented, compassionate group of people delivering healthcare in Northwest Indiana," said Fesko. "With the support of a great team, we will continue to embrace innovations and advances in healthcare that will enable our patients and the community to enjoy a higher quality of life and health."
