Baldwin & Lyons Appoints Execs

(Nasdaq: BWINA and BWINB) has appointed Randall Birchfield chief executive officer. Birchfield, who previously served as executive vice president of sales and underwriting, has also been elected to the company’s board of directors.
In addition, Douglas Collins has been appointed interim chief financial officer and Michael Case, the company’s senior vice president of claims and legal, general counsel and secretary, will add chief operating officer to his duties. The appointments follow the retirements of Joseph DeVito, Gary Miller and Patrick Corydon.

The board says a search for a permanent CFO is underway.
