Indiana Researchers Land Presidential Honor

The awards are for science and engineering professionals in the early stages of independent research careers. They will be recognized in the spring at a ceremony in Washington D.C. Winners are involved with universities or governmental departments or agencies. They are selected what a White House news releases describes as "their pursuit of innovative research at the frontiers of science and technology and their commitment to community service as demonstrated through scientific leadership, public education, or community outreach."
The winners from Indiana are:
Milind Kulkarni and Arezoo Ardekani from Purdue University and Erin Carlson from Indiana University.
Kulkarni is an associate professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue. Ardekani, previously from the University of Notre Dame, is an assistant professor in the Purdue School of Mechanical Engineering. Carlson is an assistant professor in IU’s Department of Chemistry.
