EnerDel Partnering on Military Project

The deal involves energy storage systems that will ultimately be used by the United States Air Force.
EnerDel says the Mobile Hybrid Power Systems will be used for battery backup and load shifting. The Air Force expects to install the systems by the end of next month at Joint Base San Antonio for its Basic Expeditionary Airmen Skills Training.
Chief Executive Officer Michael Canada says he is excited to partner with the University of Dayton Research Institute on the project. In a release, Canada said, "This contract award enhances our position as a leader in Mobile Hybrid Power Systems for military applications. We are fully prepared to do what we do best – deliver high quality ESS solutions to our customers."
EnerDel displayed the MHPS technology last summer during an event at the United States Pentagon. The company says the systems are compatible with conventional and renewable energy sources.
