The Indianapolis Airport Authority says Athletes Business Network will build a sports/mixed-use campus and brain health center that it says could ultimately create more than 3,000 jobs. South Bend-based Holladay Properties Inc. has been chosen to develop more than 300 additional acres along West Washington Street.
Athletes Business Network will develop its campus in three phases on nearly 130 acres of land. The sports-centered medical complex will include up to five office buildings and offer treatments for and research on concussions, post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries and other brain-related conditions. Phase I of the project also includes a hotel.
The authority has tapped Holladay Properties to develop the additional airport-owned land. The firm has completed more than $2 billion in total projects.
