STANLEY Security Systems says it will invest nearly $16 million to move its headquarters and bring more than 300 jobs to the Fishers Point Business Park. Also, office technology company Braden Business Systems will relocate from Indianapolis to the Nickel Plate District and hire 90 additional employees by 2020. Fadness says another economic development announcement coming Thursday will involve around 500 new jobs.
STANLEY Security plans to begin construction on its 80,000 square-foot, three-story building shortly after city council approval. The company says the move will allow its leadership team to operate under one roof and provide easy interstate access through a planned I-69 interchange at 106th Street. STANLEY Security North America President Jim Cannon says the city has "been a great partner in helping us make this facility a reality."
Braden Business Systems’ move includes a $5.6 million investment and the relocation of 70 current employees. The company plans to begin construction this summer. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered Braden up to $1.55 million in conditional tax credits and training grants based on the job creation plans.
In his address, Fadness said, "These two projects demonstrate that Fishers is a vibrant, attractive place for a diverse range of businesses. Announcing the relocation of two company headquarters to our community furthers our commitment to provide high-quality opportunities for work right here in Fishers."
The city council will consider incentives at its February 15 meeting. Both proposals include an abatement and fee waiver agreement. The Braden Business Systems plan also involves the dedication of land for the new building.
