SIGSTR software "injects" calls to action and content into email signature lines and then offers tools to measure impact. Chief Executive Officer Dan Hanrahan says the technology gives marketing professionals "keys to control the brand." During an interview on our INnovators with Dr. K segment, Hanrahan said the company has some big-name backing.
SIGSTR is part of the portfolio of companies of Indianapolis-based venture studio, High Alpha. High Alpha’s managing partner is longtime tech entrepreneur and a founder of ExactTarget, Ken Dorsey. The partner team is rounded out by Kristian Andersen, Mike Fitzgerald and Eric Tobias.
SIGSTR currently has 70 clients, including Indianapolis-based Angie’s List Inc. (Nasdaq: ANGI), Delta Faucet Co. in Carmel, Indiana University and the state’s technology sector initiative, TechPoint.
During the segment, Dr. K provided his "ABC’s" for SIGSTR, which are:
- Attract "Smart Money"
- Build a Strong Business Process
- Create a Trusted Brand
Hanrahan says one example of a use for the company’s software is IU Athletics promoting ticket sales and upcoming events through messaging in department email signatures. He says the next step is for the company to scale up and grow the team now that there’s a proven "market fit" for the product.
