South Bend developer Great Lakes Capital says GrandView will include office, medical, retail and restaurant space. Managing Partner Ryan Rans says the first phase of the project is GrandView Flats & Townhomes, which will include more than 200 units. He says the first apartments will be available by late spring of 2016, and the first phase of the project will be finished in 2017.
The 46-acre site is located near Cleveland Road and Gumwood Road at the intersection of Mishawaka and Granger. Rans calls it “the best location.”
“GrandView is positioned in Northern Indiana’s most premier retail trade area with unparalleled pedestrian access. GrandView Flats & Townhomes, as our first phase, tailors itself to the unmet demand for high-quality,” Rans said.
He says the four-phase project will eventually include an assisted living facility. Rans says the entire project is expected to be finished by 2020.
Great Lakes Capital says the new town center development will bring “urban conveniences to a suburban setting.”
