News Release
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (January 5, 2015) – Since 1915, the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce has been the area's leading voice of business, representing its members through advocacy and increased marketing support. To celebrate the organization's centennial anniversary, The Chamber today unveiled its new centennial logo. The new logo and look will be incorporated across all platforms of The Chamber's brand.
With The Chamber's iconic “B” still solidly front and center, the new logo references the years of service to the community along with a call‐out to the 100th anniversary. The Chamber's tagline was also updated to pay tribute to the organization's centennial: A century of building better business, better community.
“We wanted to capture the vibrancy and excitement of The Chamber and our members as we celebrate our 100th anniversary and prepare for our next century of service,” explains Jeb Conrad, president & CEO. “This is the logo we will use throughout our year of celebration.”
The most noticeable difference, however, is the addition of the two bright design elements on either side of the “B.” These elements will remain part of new logo after the centennial celebration year is over. According to Jeb, it was equally important to create a new look to move forward with after the centennial. “The new logo is eye‐catching, bright and has a sense of movement but still has elements of our traditional look. As an organization we are always evolving but our mission – to work on behalf of business – remains constant,” he said.
Throughout 2015, all Chamber events and programs will incorporate some elements of the centennial celebration into them. More information on what's planned can be found on The Chamber's website at ChamberBloomington.org.
