VINCENNES, Ind. – Steve Miller, CFO of Pioneer Oil Company, Inc. (“Pioneer”), has announced the company's expansion from Illinois into Vincennes, Indiana. Pioneer has purchased property at 4th and Main in Vincennes (formerly known as the Hills Building). The location will physically house around 40 employees with another 175 workers attached to the new location. Mr. Miller thanked the Knox County Development Corporation (KCDC), the mayor's office and Klein Realty for all of their assistance in helping his company in choosing a Knox County location.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum is very enthusiastic about the announcement, “We are very, very excited that Pioneer Oil has chosen downtown Vincennes and we are looking forward to the high caliber of employment they bring to the area. It was great working with KCDC and Heath Klein of Klein Realty who helped tremendously in making it all happen,” he continued.
According to Mark Gerkin, Chairman of the board of KCDC, “the location chosen for Pioneer Oil means great things for downtown Vincennes. It is a great company whose downtown presence will directly benefit the restaurants, retail and other businesses located in Vincennes. It is a big win for Knox County and we welcome them.”
